Animal studies
Faxitron animal imaging and irradiation systems are small, safe, and simple units that can be located directly in the animal facility to protect the integrity of the colony. The high-resolution digital and film radiography systems are used to screen, track, and evaluate structural and tissue changes for:
- Morphology studies
- Marine biology
- Mutation research
- Tumor growth rate studies
- Vascular studies using contrast agents
The MX-20 and LX-60 are available in both film and digital configurations for use in a variety of studies, from individual bone to whole body. Both feature 20-micron focal spots to produce highly detailed radiographs. The larger LX-60 operates at up to 60 kV for imaging larger animals and especially dense specimens.
The 43855 "Alphabet"Series has been widely used in animal studies since its introduction more than 20 years ago.
The line offers larger cabinets with higher kV ranges for use with up to medium breed animals. The systems can be customized for anesthesia and monitoring lines.
The RX-650 and CP-160 x-ray irradiation systems provide a smaller, safer, simpler, and less costly alternative to radioisotope irradiators for radiation exposure and oncology studies.
