LX-60 Radiography System
The LX-60 Radiography System is a versatile unit that helps generate faster results whether in the pathology department, the forensics lab, or the animal facility. When equipped with a digital detector, the system provides the benefits of immediate image output and simultaneous file sharing. If a larger field of view is required, the LX-60 can be used with a CR plate and small, upright CR reader to obtain a field of view up to 10” x 12” (25.4 cm x 30.5 cm).
Dual modes, superior radiographs. Whether used in the CR or digital mode, the LX-60 provides superior radiographs compared to those generated by conventional x-ray systems. The LX-60 is capable of up to 6X geometric magnification with excellent contrast due to its low kV capability and typical 10-12 micron focal spot. As a digital unit, the LX-60 boasts our large 12 cm X 12 cm camera offering exceptional 10 lp/mm spatial resolution in the contact mode. Magnification allows for spatial resolution of up to 60 lp/mm.
Easy to operate. The LX-60 is extremely easy to operate. Simply place the specimen on the cabinet shelf to deliver the desired magnification, close the shielded, safety-interlocked door, and activate the x-ray. In the digital mode, our advanced DX 1.0 software with
ImageAssist™ and Automatic Exposure Control automatically selects the appropriate exposure time and kV
settings for the specimen. Other important features include: a post-image
processing suite to automatically window-level and sharpen the image;
automatic contrast enhancement to provide improved depth and structure in
images; and Faxitron On Call™ for real-time, remote system support by Faxitron technical
specialists. Of course, all of these settings can be manually adjusted as well to suit the specific preferences of the user. The system requires self-calibration only once per day which takes less than 1 minute.
